How does Express Entry work?

  • An individual must create an Express Entry profile by providing personal, work experience, and education details.
  • To qualify for the Express Entry pool, one must meet the eligibility criteria of any of the three economic immigration pathways.
  • Once the individual submits their profile, the points scoring system will give you a score through the Comprehensive Ranking System.
  • This determines the individual’s profile is in the Express Entry pool.
  • Update your profile with valid job offers, education, and language skills to keep the profile active in the pool.
  • Top-ranking applicants will be sent invitations from Express Entry.
  • Express Entry sends invitations to the applicants’ profiles in the pool only if they are active during the draw date.
