Eligibility requirements to migrate to Hong Kong
Your age must be at least 18 years.

Hong Kong quality migrant admission scheme –QMAS:
QMAS is the most popular way to migrate to Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme is a points-based scheme where you need to score 80/195 points in the General Test or 195 points in the Achievement Based Points Test. The points are calculated based on your age, qualification, work experience, language proficiency and dependents. Under the Scheme you can:
- Enter Hong Kong without holding a job offer
- Settle permanently in Hong Kong
- Work in your chosen field in Hong Kong
- Bring your dependents to Hong Kong
Points are allotted for factors such as:
- Educational qualification
- Work experience
- English language skills
- Additional factors
- Applicants for QMAS need to score 80 points out of 100
Migration through employment
General Employment Policy (GEP): This scheme is for applicants who wish to enter Hong Kong and live there for the purpose of working as a professional. Applicants with effective skills and work experience who are currently unavailable in HKSAR must apply for work under this permit category.
Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (ASMTP): Applicants who want to work as professionals in Hong Kong and live there can apply under this scheme. The candidate must have a strong educational background and a job offer that has been verified.
Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS):
This is a 3-year pilot scheme.
