Saskatchewan issues 269 invites to new immigration candidates

In the latest SINP draw conducted on April 22, 2021, Saskatchewan issued 269 invitations to apply for Canada immigration across 2 streams. These streams were Occupation In-demand and Express Entry.

This was how invites were issued for the 2 streams:

  • Occupations In-demand - 139 invites
  • Express Entry – 130 invites

The minimum score required for eligibility under the program was 70.

Saskatchewan EOI process – Steps

  1. Submission of an EOI profile
  2. Entering the EOI candidate pool
  3. Selection of EOI candidates
  4. ITAs issued through regular draws
  5. Submission of full application within 60 days
  6. Assessment of applications by SINP officials and final decision

Requirements for Occupations In-demand sub-category

  • Get a minimum score of 60 points on the points assessment grid of SINP
  • Have a minimum CLB score of 4 (Regulatory bodies and employers may require more)
  • Completion of 1 year of post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or training with parallels in the education system of Canada (You must have got a certificate, diploma, or degree)
    • Diplomas and degrees from outside Canada will be subjected to an ECA
  • A minimum work experience of 1 year in the past 10 years:
    • In your field of study or occupation trained for, and
    • In an occupation deemed eligible in NOC A, B, and 0.
  • Get the licensure considered appropriate in Saskatchewan in case required in your field (without the licensure the authorities won’t process an application)
  • Proof of settlement funds and a plan for settlement
  • Online payment of a non-refundable application fee of $300

Requirements for SINP Express Entry sub-category

The candidates must:

  • Have an Express Entry profile, with profile number as well as job seeker validation code
  • Score at least 60 points on the points assessment grid of SINP
  • Provide results of a valid test of language from a designated testing agency that matches those in the Express Entry profile
  • Have finished a year of post-secondary study, apprenticeship, or training with parallels in the education system of Canada (You must have got a certificate, diploma, or degree)
    • Diplomas and degrees earned from outside Canada subject to an ECA
  • Have at least one of these experiences in your field of study or training occupation:
    • 1 year of work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (experience in non-trades),
    • 2 years of work experience in a skilled trade in the last 5 years, or
    • 1 year of Canadian work experience in the past 3 years (experience in non-trades and trades)
  • Have experience of working in a high-skilled occupation deemed eligible in NOC A, B, or 0
  • Get the licensure considered appropriate in Saskatchewan where your skilled trade or profession is regulated (For skilled trades, a certificate is needed from the SATC
  • Have proof of settlement funds and a plan for settlement
  • Pay online an application fee of $300 which is non-refundable
