MPNP Canada invites students and overseas workers in the latest draw

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in Canada conducted its latest draw on 9^th May. 170 Invitations to Apply were issued in this draw for Permanent Residence. 15 of the 170 invites were given to candidates who had their profiles in the Express Entry pool. These candidates also had a job seeker validation code. 101 invitations were issued to candidates applying under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway. The minimum score for this stream was 569 under the MPNP points grid. 52 invitations were issued under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream. The lowest-ranked candidate in this stream had a score of 616. 17 invitations were issued under the International Education Stream. This stream is for international students who have completed their studies from post-secondary institutes in Manitoba. However, these students need to meet the requirements of any one of the 3 immigration pathways. The MPNP encourages international students to attend its information session before they apply under the International Education Stream. All overseas skilled workers under invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative of the MPNP. The MPNP works with employers in Manitoba to fill in available jobs in the province. To apply under the MPNP, applicants must first submit an online Expression of Interest. The EOI contains information regarding the work experience, education, connection to Manitoba and language skill details. The candidates are then assigned a score based on the Manitoba points grid. The highest scoring candidates are invited in each draw to apply for a Provincial Nomination, as per CIC News. A Provincial Nomination adds 600 points to an applicant’s CRS Score. Invited candidates have a much greater likelihood of integrating into the Manitoba society. These candidates are also most like to contribute to the long-term development of the province of Manitoba.
