Canada introduces 2 new PR routes for Caregivers to help them to arrive and settle in the country. The Caring for Children and Caring for People with High Medical Needs pilot programs have expired. They have been replaced by the Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker pilot programs. Applications for the new pilot programs are being accepted from 18th June 2019.
A job offer from Canada is now mandatory for Caregivers to apply for a Work Visa. Caregivers also need to meet the requirements of the economic immigration programs in Canada. The new pilot programs will help Caregivers gain 2 years of Canadian work experience which will qualify them for a Permanent Residence Visa.
