British Columbia's Tech Pilot draw calls 84 skilled workers

Here’s news about the latest Tech Pilot draw conducted by British Columbia on May 4, 2021. In the PNP draw, 84 immigration candidates were invited to apply for a provincial nomination. The 2 categories under which BC PNP invited the immigration candidates were Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC.

The sub-categories involved were International Students and Skilled Worker. The minimum score required of the candidates of all sub-categories was 80.

In total, BC has invited 3,977 immigration candidates till now in 2021. The candidates invited in the latest draw have 30 calendar days to respond and apply for the province’s nomination.

About British Columbia’s Tech Pilot The Tech Pilot is a fast-track PNP meant for foreign workers who are skilled in tech jobs and are in demand in the province. International students and tech workers in high demand are the ones who get selected in the Tech Pilot draws.

Eligible candidates have to be registered in one of the provincial immigration streams of BC PNP. They must also have a valid job offer for at least 12 months of tenure. This job must be one among the 29 eligible occupations listed by BC Tech Pilot.

Those who apply under Skills Immigration or Express Entry category must have created a profile via BC PNP’s online portal. They must also register under BC’s SIRS.

The profiles are ranked as per scores based on factors like years of direct work experience, education level, and a job offer in BC. The Tech Pilot draw is a weekly event.
