Alberta issues 121 invitations to EE candidates in the latest draw

Alberta conducted the latest invitation round on 15^th August. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program issued 121 invitations to Express Entry candidates. The minimum cut-off in this draw was 400. This was the second draw of the Alberta Express Entry Stream in August. The Alberta EE Stream allows the AINP to look for eligible candidates in the EE Pool. These candidates are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination. The previous draw of the Alberta Express Entry Stream was held on 7^th August. This draw invited 35 candidates with the minimum cut-off being 352. Candidates who have a valid profile in the Express Entry Pool may qualify for the Alberta Express Entry Stream. An offer of employment or previous experience in Alberta is not necessary. However, it is mandatory to have work experience in an occupation of economic importance in Alberta. There is no list of eligible occupations provided by the Alberta Govt. You may receive priority from the AINP if:

• You have previously worked in Alberta or have a job offer
• You have a job offer and have completed your post-secondary education from Canada
• You have a child, sibling or parent already residing in Alberta

The Alberta Express Entry Stream was founded in 2018. It has so far conducted 28 invitation rounds and issued 5,503 invites, as per CIC News. 3,868 invitations have been issued by the Alberta Express Entry Stream in 2019 so far. The Alberta Express Entry Stream selects candidates who generally have a much lower CRS score than the Federal Express Entry cut-off. There have been four occasions in 2019 where this stream has selected candidates with CRS as low as 300. Three draws had the lowest-scoring candidate scoring 301 and one had 302. In contrast, the lowest score in the Federal Express Entry Program in 2019 has been 438. The last conducted Express Entry round had a cut-off score of 466.
