• Between January and August 2022, 15 million tourists came to visit Croatia.

The total number of overnight stays in Croatia between January and August 2022 was 86.6 million nights. As per reports, in 2022, Croatia reached 91% of arrivals and 96% of overnight stays, compared to the number of tourists who arrived in 2019.

In August 2022 alone, Croatia had 4.6 million arrivals and 32 million overnight stays. Compared to August 2021, this meant a 6% increase in arrivals and a 4% increase in overnight stays.

The number of arrivals in August 2022 was 92% of the arrivals and 97% of overnight stays in July 2019.

More about Croatia tourism in 2022

• In 2022, the number of arrivals increased by 40%, and overnight stays increased by 27% compared to 2021.
• In August 2022, the value of fiscalized invoices with Croatia was in excess of 600 million compared to that in the entire year of 2019.
• In some regions of Croatia, the number of nights spent by tourists went beyond the levels in 2019.
• The most overnight stays recorded between January and August 2022 were in Istria, with 24.7 million overnight stays. Other regions that followed in overnight stays were:

• On the basis of the type of accommodation, here are the number of overnight stays between January and August 2022:
