The results of 2 recent PNP draws held by Saskatchewan are out. These draws were held on October 7 and October 21, 2020.

On October 7, 2020, Saskatchewan issued ITAs to candidates under the Express Entry category. On October 21, 2020, SINP issued ITAs to immigration candidates under its Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry categories.

A total of 618 received ITAs from Saskatchewan on October 21, 2020. They were invited to apply for a provisional nomination for PR. Out of the 618, 340 candidates were sent invitations under the Express Entry category. The lowest-ranked candidate was required to have a score of 78.

In the October 7 SINP draw, 455 Express Entry candidates were sent ITAs, and they needed a minimum score of 70 points.

In 2020 as yet, 3,040 candidates have received invitations under the Express Entry category. An additional 3, 018 candidates got ITAs under the Occupations In-Demand category.

In total, 6,082 SINP candidates successfully received ITAs this year so far.

Eligibility

To get invited, candidates must have submitted a SINP EOI profile. While submitting profiles, candidates must show that they have the ability to settle in the Saskatchewan province. The candidates are also evaluated based on factors like education, age, work experience, connections in the province, and language proficiency in English.

Candidates are given a score out of 100 on the Points Assessment Grid for the International Skilled Worker EOI system. Candidates who get the highest scores get an ITA to apply for a provincial nomination. They can use it to submit their application for Canada PR to IRCC.

Candidates must show a minimum of a year’s work experience. They however don’t need a job offer from the Saskatchewan province to be eligible for invitation. The work experience must be in a skilled occupation that's connected to their education.

Candidates who are successful in both draw rounds must have submitted an Educational Credential Assessment to the province. This will prove that the candidate’s educational qualification can be compared to Candian standards.

About SINP Express Entry category

SINP Express Entry is a category connected to the federal Express Entry system. The Express Entry system manages applications from overseas workers for FSWP, FSTP, and CEC. If eligible for the SINP as well as any of the 3 Express Entry programs, the candidate may get invited for a provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan.

The invitation can be used to apply for a provincial nomination to Saskatchewan. The provincial nomination certificate that the candidate receives henceforth can be uploaded to the Express Entry profile, which will earn them 600 extra points towards their CRS score.

About SINP Occupations In-Demand category

This category is applicable to Canada immigration candidates without an Express Entry profile. This program is intended to invite immigration candidates with work experience in jobs that have labor shortages in Saskatchewan.
