Alberta Canada has removed 18 occupations from the Refusal to Process LMIA List. It has thus decreased the number of occupations regarded to be unqualified for the Temporary Foreign Worker Program - TFWP to 24 occupations. The Refusal to Process LMIA List is managed and administered by the Alberta Employment and Labor and Canada Social Development.  This is to ensure that employers locally seek workers prior to hiring overseas workers, as quoted by the CIC News. The Employer Liaison Service has been established to assist Alberta Canada employers to identify local workers to fill job vacancies.
