The problem of shortage of workers is highly affecting Germany. The country is trying to address and resolve it with new plans and programs.

Recently, a new joint campaign was announced by German ministers of interior, transport, and labor departments. This campaign aims at bringing in a large number of foreign workers to fill vacant job positions vacant in the country’s airports.

What are the benefits of working in Germany?

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, a shortage of skilled workers, in airports too, has been an issue in Germany as well as other European countries. In fact, every European country has been facing a shortage of labor in various industrial and service sectors. This situation was also reflected in airports.

The summer season is on and the number of travelers has increased exponentially. This increased demand for travel and the shortage of airport staff at airports is becoming a big issue for airport operators too. This issue is causing chaos in German airports where long queues and a shortage of staff have created the need for 2,000 to 3,000 employees. The new campaign is aimed at bringing that many foreign workers to Germany to work in its airports temporarily.
