Meet the new NOC 2021 codes applicable from November 16, 2022

Highlights: The list of New NOC 2021 codes for eligible occupations

  • The shift from NOC 2016 codes to NOC 2021 codes will happen on November 16, 2022.
  • With this shift, new applications for Canada immigration will have to be filled with the new 5-digit code.
  • The NOC system is applicable to Canada immigration applications filed under FSW and FST streams.

The time is near! On November 16, 2022, Canada immigration applications will need to be submitted with the NOC 2021 codes for eligible occupations applicable. Foreign nationals applying for immigration through Canada Express Entry, via its streams namely FSW and FST will have to give these 5-digit codes when they submit their applications.

Under the FSW (Federal Skilled Workers) stream, there are 347 occupations deemed eligible for Canada immigration.

The maximum number of applications accepted under the FST (Federal Skilled Trades) is 3,000.
