Manitoba PNP invited mire skilled immigration candidates again to apply for a provincial nomination. In the PNP draw that was conducted on September 23, 2021, 650 immigration candidates were issued invitations.

The selected candidates were offered provincial nomination by Manitoba PNP accepting which will lead them on a pathway that gives them the assured opportunity to apply for Canada PR.

Here’s how the draw went:

Stream No. of invitations Min. EOI score
Skilled Workers Overseas 67 718
Skilled Workers in Manitoba 529 401
International Education 54 NA

Among the invites (LAAs) sent, 135 were issued to Express Entry candidates.

About Express Entry

Express Entry is a points-based application management system used by the federal government to manage applications for immigration. These applications are filed for 3 federal high-skilled immigration programs namely CEC, FSTP, and FSWP.

The applicants to Express Entry have their profiles added to a candidate pool that's accessible to both federal and provincial governments. Every candidate profile is ranked by CRS with scores assigned. Factors like age, education, work experience, and skills in Canada’s official language are considered to decide the scores.

When provincial governments choose and nominate Express Entry candidates through PNP draws, they automatically add 600 extra points to their original CRS scores. This way, the candidates get a higher score that will increase their chances to get an ITA to the near surety in a forthcoming federal immigration draw.

For a provincial nomination, these candidates need to create an EOI profile with the provincial PNP involved. The EOI profiles are given scores on the province’s unique points grid.

The highest-scoring Express Entry candidates are invited by IRCC to apply for Canada PR when they take part in regular invitation rounds. Those who are invited can officially apply for Canada immigration.

Manitoba immigration programs

Manitoba has its immigration programs that fetch the right foreign candidates who are skillful enough to meet the province’s labor requirements. MPNP supports applications for Canada immigration received by the federal government.

As Canadian provinces have no right to issue Canada PR, they help the right candidate to get a chance to apply for one by issuing a provincial nomination.

For an immigration candidate to benefit from Manitoba’s provincial nomination, that candidate must first create an EOI with the MPNP. Manitoba PNP ranks immigration candidates on a scale of 1,000 points considering their human capital factors.

Candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream must demonstrate their connections with Manitoba. This could be through previous experience in Manitoba, family relations in the province, or an invitation via one of the strategic recruitment initiatives of Manitoba. It's not necessary for the candidates to live in Manitoba while applying to be considered eligible.

Also, for a candidate to get invited by Manitoba PNP via the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, the candidate will need an offer for a full-time job from the province. The job offer will be made by an employer in Manitoba.

International graduates among the candidates who come under the International Education stream must have completed their education in Manitoba and are capable of demonstrating in-demand skills in their field of occupation.
