What is the latest update on the Subclass 482 and 489 of Australia?

If you aspire to migrate to Australia, you should be mindful of the latest Subclass 482 and 489 updates. More details have been announced by Immigration South Australia about the DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreements). The updates also apply to the Subclass 482 (Temporary Skills Shortage) Visa. South Australia has released the below details regarding the DAMA:
  1. Adelaide Technology and Innovation Agreement
There are 60 occupations in this agreement supporting the Adelaide City Deal. These occupations belong to Technology, Space and Defence, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors. This agreement will help employers access as well as retain high-skilled foreign workers, as quoted by SBS News.
  1. South Australia Regional Workforce Agreement
There are 114 occupations in this agreement. These occupations are from key regional industries of growth. These industries include Mining, Tourism, Construction, Aged Care, Hospitality, and Agribusiness. Employers would be able to access high-skilled workers through this agreement. Information regarding Employer Eligibility More details regarding the application process for DAMA will be announced on 1st July 2019. There are 9 Regional Authorities that are participating in the NSW Subclass 489 Visa. Central West is one among them which has announced that Regional Sponsorship is now closed. It also announced that the new occupation list for the year 2019-20 will be announced in July 2019. This is applicable to the Subclass 482 and 489 Visa applicants applying to Central West for regional sponsorship.
