Canada holds its latest Express Entry that sends ITAs to 4,500 immigration candidates. The ITAs went to Express Entry candidates who had to have a minimum CRS score of 471. This was the same as the minimum requirement specified in the Express Entry draw that was held in October 14, 2020.

Since September 2, 2020, IRCC has been conducting draws every 2 weeks inviting 4,200 immigration candidates. But this time, a record number of ITAs were issued.

Canada manages the immigration applications it receives with the Canada Express Entry system. Applications for 3 federal economic-class programs are managed by the Express Entry system, namely, FSWP, FSTP, and CEC.

Candidates in these programs and some PNPs are assigned a score based on CRS that considers factors like education, age, work experience, and English/French language skills. Candidates who get the highest score will get an ITA for Canadian PR in an Express Entry draw.

In this draw, a tie-break rule was applied with the timestamp being September 1, 2020, at 12:11:23 UTC. This means that candidates with a CRS score of 471 or above must have submitted their Express Entry profile before the date and time mentioned in the timestamp. Only those candidates will be eligible to receive an ITA.

With this draw, the total number of ITAs issued by Canada this year till now comes to 82,850. The targets that were set for Federal High-Skilled immigration has now been fast approached. With the success of this draw, the new admission targets for Canada’s immigrants in 2021-23 will be announced by October end.
