Highlights: Third Round of Express Entry Invitations in the first week of August 2023

• The first-ever Trades occupation-specific draw was conducted on 3rd August 2023.
• 1500 candidates who met the eligibility criteria were invited via the draw.
• The minimum CRS score for the trades-specific draw was 388.
• The trades category includes professions like carpentry, welding & plumbing, and more.

First-ever Trades occupation specific draw

• The announcement of the category-based Express Entry draws was made on 31st May 2023.
• The six categories that were declared as a part of the category-based draws are given below:
• Healthcare occupations
• Transport occupations
• Trade occupations
• French- language proficiency
• Agriculture and Agri-food occupations
• STEM occupations
• Seven category-based Express Entry draws have been held so far in 2023.
• The IRCC held three French Language category-based draws, two Healthcare occupation-specific draws, and one STEM occupation-specific draw.
