French category based selection

• IRCC announced category-based selection draws for Express Entry candidates on May 31, 2023.
• Six categories were announced as a part of the category-based selection.
• Strong French language proficiencywas listed as one of the categories of the category-based draws for Express Entry candidates.
• The French proficiency category does not require work experience as one of the criteria for the selection draws.
• The Immigration Minister of Canada is investing in promoting French in other provinces outside of Quebec.
• Over $123 million is set to be invested towards Francophone Immigration in Canada as a part of the FY 2023-24 Budget.
