Canadian routes to become Canadian workforce

Employers recruit international talent and the workforce by using:

  • Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP)
  • The International Mobility Program (IMP)

Global Talent Stream (GTS), is one option that allows foreign nationals to get a Canada work permit and get processed their visa in just two weeks. GTS is a part of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

Most employers also get international citizens to fill the available manpower shortage positions using Express Entry System, which is an online application system.

The applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria have to submit their profile online, which is called an Expression of interest (EOI).

Under the Express Entry, there are three federal immigration programs or a participating PNP (Provincial Nomination Program). The applicant needs to apply for any immigration program under the Express Entry Pool.

The applicants' profile will be ranked based on the points-based system, which is called CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System)

  1. The highest-ranked applicant will receive ITAs (Invitations to Apply) from IRCC which makes them eligible for applying Canadian PR.
  2. The applicants need to apply for Canada PR within 90 days along with complete application and application processing fees without delay, once they receive the ITA.
