BC PNP issued invites to apply for a provisional nomination to 230 new Canada immigration candidates for Canada PR. The draw was held on December 22, 2020. The invites were sent through Skills Immigration and EEBC streams.

The sub-categories of which the candidates selected were and the minimum scores required of them were as follows:

  • Express Entry BC
    • International Graduate - 99
    • Skilled Worker - 99
  • Skills Immigration
    • International Graduate - 95
    • Skilled Worker - 95
    • Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled - 77

The EEBC and Skills Immigration streams of BC PNP are designed to draw in and retain international workers. It’s also meant for graduates with the required education, qualifications, and work experience that will make them eligible to fill the job positions in high demand in BC.

The candidates applying under any of these streams must first create a profile via the online portal of British Columbia PNP. They must thus register under SIRS. An evaluation of the application will be done based on factors like:

  • level of education
  • work experience
  • job location
  • proficiency in English and salary

Upon getting approved, the applicant can use the provincial nomination to apply for a Canada PR visa with IRCC under the Canada PNP.

With a nomination from BC, the candidate can get 600 extra CRS points that will give him/her a lead in an upcoming federal immigration draw. The extra points will guarantee the candidate to receive an ITA in the federal draw.
