British Columbia sends invites to 8 new foreign entrepreneurs

In this draw, BC PNP issued 8 invitations to candidates via the Entrepreneur Immigration General category. The minimum points needed by candidates for eligibility was 122 points.[/caption]

The BC Entrepreneurship category of Canada immigration requires immigration candidates to meet certain eligibility criteria wherein they must:

  • Have a legally obtained personal net worth of at least $600,000
  • Invest at least $200,000 in a new business considered eligible or purchase and develop an existing business in BC
  • Create a minimum of 1 new full-time job for a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident in his/her business
  • Have CLB Level 4 in English/French in each of the four skills namely speaking, reading, listening, and writing, before getting nominated
  • Possess suitable experience in business and/or management
  • Have or have eligibility for legal temporary immigration status in Canada
  • Have had lawful admittance to the place in Canada where you currently live
