British Columbia issued 519 invitations in the latest draw held on 17th September. The invitations were issued under the Express Entry, Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Stream. This was the 36th draw of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. So far in 2019, BC PNP has issued 5,499 invitations. In the 17th September draw, 481 invitations were issued to candidates under the BC Express Entry and BC Skills Immigration streams. 30 invitations were issued under the BC Entrepreneur Stream-Base category. Under the BC Entrepreneur Stream-Regional Pilot, BC PNP issued 8 invitations. The Skills Immigration category is open to high-skilled and semi-skilled workers working in in-demand occupations in British Columbia. Express Entry candidates with a valid profile in the EE Pool can apply under the BC Express Entry sub-stream. Besides meeting the requirements of the BC PNP, eligible candidates should also be willing to live in BC in the long run. The minimum score required for both the Skills Immigration and Express Entry categories were between 92 and 101 points. Foreign entrepreneurs who wish to set up their own or invest in a business in British Columbia can apply under the Entrepreneur Stream. The minimum score in the latest draw for the Entrepreneur stream was between 108 and 115. It is mandatory for applicants under the Entrepreneur stream to provide evidence of business and managerial experience. The net worth requirement for the Regional Pilot category is $300,000. On the other hand, for the Base category, the net worth requirement is $600,000, as per CIC News. The BC Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) manages all the categories under the BC PNP. Candidates must first create an online account on the SIRS to apply for a provincial nomination through British Columbia. Candidates are then scored based on factors like age, education, language skills, work experience etc. Below are the 17th September draw results:
