British Columbia yet again welcomed more immigration candidates through 2 BC PNP draws held on August 31, 2021. A total of 488 immigration candidates were invited via these 2 draws and the month of August was closed on a high note.

The first draw was held as a generic draw. This was the usual kind of draw where eligible Express Entry candidates were chosen and issued invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The provincial nomination leads to the opportunity to apply for Canada PR. BC PNP held the generic draw in the following manner.

Date No. of  Invitations Category Min. Score Other details
August 31, 2021 467 SI - Skilled Worker 90 Generic draw.
SI - International Graduate 77
SI - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 69
EEBC - Skilled Worker 86
EEBC - International Graduate 75

The second draw was aimed at immigration candidates with experience in specific occupations indicated by NOC codes 0621 and 0631.

NOC 0621 - Retail and wholesale trade managers

These are professionals tasked with the duties of planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating an establishment’s operations. These establishments could be engaged in the sales of merchandise or providing services on a retail/wholesale basis.

NOC 0631 - Restaurant and food service managers

These managerial staff members deal with the planning, organizing, direction, control, and evaluation of operations of bars, restaurants, cafeterias, and other food & beverage services.

The job-specific draw went like this:

Date No. of invitations Category Min. Score Other details
August 31, 2021 21 SI - Skilled Worker 106 Invitations were issued to candidates with NOC 0631 and NOC 0621 only.

Canada immigration is going strong determined to meet its ambitious target for newcomers for 2021, up to 2023. The time is ripe to use the opportunities to migrate to Canada via its provinces like BC.

Register your profile with Express Entry because as the saying goes, showing up is half the job. If your profile gets nominated by BC or any province of Canada, you will earn 600 extra CRS points. That will push you forward in the line to get selected in the nearest federal Express Entry draw. Then you can apply for a Canada PR visa.
