It is contingent on your trip plans. If you plan to visit Vietnam only once [single-entry] during the 30-day validity period, you can apply for a Vietnamese e-Visa.
If you plan to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 days or visit many times, you can apply for a visa on arrival instead.
