About skilled immigrants and the EOI system

Before a skilled foreign national gets an invitation from Saskatchewan for PR nomination, that candidate has to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the SINP.  It indicates that the immigration candidate is willing to immigrate to Saskatchewan to work and settle there once they reach Canada.

This pre-application step requires you to submit your qualifications too. With such information, your eligibility is assessed. If you have the skills required by the job market of Saskatchewan, you could be chosen for selection from the International Skilled Worker EOI system.

Once you create your EOI profile you will be asked to submit the following details:

  • Your passport number
  • Your date of birth
  • Whether you have an immigration representative
  • Whether you are a skilled worker willing to live and work in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan
  • Whether you have a job offer
  • Whether you are to be accepted into the Express Entry pool maintained by IRCC
  • Your occupation
  • Whether you had an ECA
  • Whether you have documentation issued by an assessment/regulatory body in Saskatchewan/Canada if required
  • Points score

The factors considered include connections to Saskatchewan, language proficiency, and work experience. Upon selection, you will be sent an ITA.

EOI doesn’t guarantee that you will be selected for immigration to the province. Each candidate in the EOI system is allowed to keep only one EOI profile.
