On June 13, 2020, Poland will lift the border controls with the European Union. This will also be the end of quarantine measures that were introduced to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. So, nationals of EU states could now use a Poland visit visa and resume traveling to Poland.

As the border controls will be lifted, EU citizens will be allowed to enter Poland without any restrictions. The travelers from the EU will have the right to enter and exit freely through Poland’s territory, without having to go through quarantine. The neighboring countries of Poland have been informed in advance to make necessary preparations.

The decision comes after the recommendation of the European Commission that the internal border controls in the EU be lifted on June 15, 2020.

The decision not to impose quarantine on persons traveling in Poland for professional, economic, or business purposes was taken on May 16, 2020. The same was applied for EU and EEA states, and Switzerland.

Poland’s border controls with Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, and Lithuania were reintroduced for land, sea, and air borders on March 15, 2020.
