In the latest draw conducted on 23rd May, MPNP issued 196 invitations for Canadian Permanent Residence.
119 LAAs (Letters of Advice to Apply) were issued under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba sub-category. 60 LAAs were issued under the Skilled Workers Overseas category and 17 under the International Education category.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has issued 4,320 invitations to skilled workers in 2019.
Manitoba, through the MPNP, nominates candidates for a provincial nomination. Employers in the province thus get access to foreign skilled workers to fill in the skill gaps. MPNP nominated candidates also should be able to settle quickly and economically establish themselves in the province.
Since its inception in 1998, MPNP has welcomed more than 130,000 newcomers to Canada, as per CIC News. The MPNP is considered one of the most active and successful provincial nominee programs in Canada.
In the 23rd May draw, 27 LAAs were issued to candidates in the Express Entry pool with a job validation code. These candidates had work experience in any one occupation listed on the In-Demand Occupation list of Manitoba.
Temporary overseas workers and international graduates in Manitoba can apply under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category. It is mandatory for these applicants to be currently working in a permanent, full-time job in Manitoba.
Eligible candidates living outside Canada may apply under the Skilled Workers Overseas category. It is mandatory for these applicants to demonstrate a connection to Manitoba. The connection could be:
