  • Canada issued a high number of 41,000 job openings in April 2023.
  • A majority of the job openings were in the form of part-time work.
  • As per Bloomberg, Canada has witnessed a job streak of 8 consecutive months since 2017.
  • According to statistics, 18.1% of employees are based in part-time work opportunities.
  • The average hourly salaries have increased by 5.2%, as seen year-to-year.

  • The employment level rose in Ontario, with 33,000+ jobs in Canada.
  • The employment level rose in Prince Edward Island, with 2200+ jobs in April 2023.
  • The employment rate has comparatively declined in April 2023 for the province of Manitoba.
  • Jobs in the retail trade industry have increased by 24,000 in April 2023.
  • The cultural and recreation sectors and the Information industry have seen a 1.9% rise in April.
  • The education and employment sectors have witnessed a 1.0% rise in April 2023.
