Francophone Immigration Support Program

The Francophone Immigration Support Program is a new program launched by the Centre for Innovation in Francophone Immigration (CIFI). The program is one of the many initiatives the IRCC took to support the lack of importance for French-speaking migrants outside Quebec.

The FISP aims to increase the involvement of French-speaking stakeholders in the selection and admission process of French candidates outside Quebec. It also provides a pathway to address the bilingual and French-speaking labour needs across different sectors in Canada.

The program runs with the principle of a “by and for Francophones” program.

The FISP will fund projects via any of the three streams mentioned below:

  • Stream 1: Collaborative selection projects
  • Stream 2: Promotion of Francophone minority communities (FMCs) abroad
  • Stream 3: Case studies, innovation and applied research
