On November 5, 2020, Canada held its latest Express Entry draw wherein 4,500 ITAs were issued to Express Entry candidates. They required to have a minimum CRS score of 478. The following is a snapshot of the minimum CRS score through the months in 2020:

Those candidates who speak French are eligible for more CRS points in this round of invites. IRCC gives 25 additional points to French-speaking candidates for their language skills. This was 15 points earlier. Bilingual candidates in this draw will get extra 50 points which was 30 earlier. This is the third time when Canada issued 4,500 ITAs at once. This is the largest number of ITAs issued in a single draw. Regarding immigration Canada is quite ambitious, which can be seen in the immigration levels projected every year till 2023. Over 400,000 new immigrants every year are expected. Out of these, 100,000 new immigrants will arrive through programs managed by Express Entry. They will come under the Federal High Skilled category. In this draw, IRCC applied the tie-breaker rule with October 26, 2020 at 22:44:19 UTC used as the timestamp. This means that candidates who have 478 points or more as CRS score must have submitted their Express Entry profile before the date and time in the timestamp to receive ITA.

About Express Entry Express Entry is the immigration application management system of Canada’s federal government. These applications are for Canada immigration’s 3 economic-class programs namely FSTP, FSWP, and CEC. The candidates under these programs and certain PNPs are assigned scores based on CRS. The CRS score is given considering factors like age, education, work experience, and proficiency in English/French language. Candidates with the highest CRS scores get ITAs for Canada PR in an Express Entry draw. With the latest Express Entry draw, Canada has reached 87,350 ITAs issued in 2020.
