Canada conducts new draw to invite 392 Express Entry candidates

The latest Express Entry draw that issued invitations to eligible Express Entry (EE) candidates was conducted on June 24, 2020. Candidates having provincial nominations were invited to participate.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent invitations to 392 candidates. They had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 696 or higher.

The minimum CRS score was reached by adding the basic score to 600 extra points given to them for receiving their provincial nomination. The CRS score is awarded based on human capital factors like age, work experience, language proficiency, and education. The higher the candidate scores, the better his/her chance to be nominated.

Express Entry is a channel through which skilled foreign workers come to work in Canada. The Canada Express Entry draw system manages the candidate profiles for the streams of:

A tie-break rule was used in this round of invitation. Every candidate with a minimum CRS score of 696 and had submitted the profile before 23 April 2020, at 10:39:30 UTC, got an ITA in this round.

After the COVID-19 led travel restrictions were imposed in Canada after March 18, 2020, immigration Canada has been hosting Express Entry draws on a regular basis. These draws aimed at CEC candidates and provincial nominees.

The effort made in Canada immigration has helped the country to achieve its projected immigration targets. Till now, 46,392 principal applicants got invitations to apply for a permanent residence in 2020.

There has been a great performance on the Express Entry-linked provincial nominee streams front. Canadian provinces have contacted over 1000 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the span of a week.
