British Columbia has conducted a PNP draw that invited 76 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR. The draw was held on November 17, 2020.

BC PNP issued invitations via the EEBC and Skills Immigration streams. Candidates got invited under the sub-categories of:

  • Entry-Level
  • Semi-Skilled
  • Skilled Worker
  • International Graduate

The invitations were issued through the BC PNP Tech Pilot. The invited candidates must have job offers in an eligible tech job to get the nomination. 80 was the minimum score needed for successful candidates in all categories.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot draw is conducted on a weekly basis.

Apply for Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration categories
  • Candidates must create a profile with the online portal of BC PNP
  • Register under SIRS

Applicants are evaluated and ranked based on factors like:

  • Work experience
  • Education
  • Employment location
  • English language proficiency

Upon approval, an applicant can use their provincial nomination to submit an application for permanent residence in Canada with IRCC. This will be done under PNP.

Express Entry candidates who get provincially nominated will get 600 points extra over their CRS scores. This can be used to advance to the front of the line when it comes to selecting candidates to be sent ITAs in a federal Express Entry draw.

Eligible occupations
  • Web designers
  • Web developers
  • Civil engineers
  • Systems managers
  • Translators

While BC PNP streams need the candidate to have an offer for a permanent job, Tech Pilot requires the candidates to have an offer for a full-time job of minimum 1-year duration. The job must be with an eligible employer in BC.

Candidates who received invites in this draw have 30 days to submit a completed application.
