The Canadian provinces are doing a great job of encouraging immigrant candidates to apply for opportunities to settle in Canada. Canada immigration and its various channels welcome immigrants to contribute to Canada’s social and economic development. It’s reciprocated by applicants around the world who wish to move to a fabulous nation like Canada.

Prince Edward Island (PEI) is Canada's smallest province. It’s located on the east coast of North America. If you are looking for an ideal province in Canada to study, work, live and raise a family, this is one of the best places to be in.

Rewarding career opportunities are a great feature of this province. The presence of a business community known well for being supportive of entrepreneurs also exists here. Students from over 60 countries come to PEI and flourish in the top-quality education the region provides. The province’s higher education programs are catering to the demands for a workforce that’s skilled and educated. Such talents are created with industry-specific programs and degrees related to diverse fields.

With a growing population, PEI is getting new people who bring new ideas and possibilities. They contribute to the province’s social and economic scene.

In a recent move, the PEI immigration has sent out very encouraging signs to aspiring candidates. It has urged them to submit Expression of Interests (EOI) even with the COVID-19 crisis very much present to be dealt with. In a word from the PEI office, the candidates have been told that they could create an EOI whenever they meet the program criteria. The PEI office has also intimated that draws may be conducted in an unscheduled manner in the near future.

The PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has faced difficulties with conducting its draws lately due to COVID-19 restrictions. The last draw was to be held on March 19, 2020. It got postponed indefinitely. So has the April 16 draw been not held yet to invite candidates.

PEI PNP draws send out invites for the province’s immigration streams for candidates from Express Entry, Business Impact, and Labor Impact. PEI launched its EOI system at the start of 2018. It has continued to make monthly draws since then.

Till now in 2020, 276 invites have been sent through the PEI PNP in 2 draws. They include 253 Express Entry and Labor Impact invites and 23 Business Impact candidates.
