Alberta conducted the latest invitation round on 28th August and issued nearly twice the number of invites as in the previous draw.
294 EE candidates were invited in this Alberta EE selection draw.
The lowest-scoring candidate in this draw had a score of 400 which is 38 points lower than the lowest Federal Express Entry cut-off in 2019. The lowest that the Federal Express Entry draw has gone is 438 in the 30th January draw.
Alberta invited 121 candidates in the previous draw held on 15th August. In comparison, the number of invites in this draw has doubled. Alberta has conducted 23 draws in 2019 and has issued 5,236 invitations.
Eligible candidates in the Express Entry Pool can use the Alberta Express Entry Stream as a route to Canadian PR.
Candidates who have work experience in any occupation of economic importance in Alberta can qualify under this stream. The province, however, has not released any list of high-demand occupations. Candidates who have a strong connection to Alberta can also qualify under this province.
The Alberta Express Entry Stream has been instrumental in inviting eligible candidates with scores as less as 300. Candidates with CRS as low as 301 have received invitations on almost 4 occupations.
Express Entry candidates can apply for a provincial nomination provided they receive an invitation from AINP under the Alberta EE Stream.
Candidates with previous work experience in Alberta or a job offer from the province are prioritized by the AINP. International students who have a job offer from Alberta also receive priority. So do candidates who have a blood relative like a child, parent or sibling living in the province.
You may not receive an invitation from Alberta if:
