Germany’s new Opportunity Card

The new Germany Opportunity card, also called Chancenkarte, is a one-year residence permit for jobseekers from non-EU countries. Non-EU nationals can migrate to Germany to look for jobs without a sponsorship or a permanent job offer. The initiative is directed towards attracting skilled immigrants to fill up job vacancies in Germany.

 

The Germany Opportunity Card offers an easy and legal immigration pathway for candidates willing to migrate and look for employment in the country. It also provides an excellent opportunity to acquire permanent resident status in Germany. Candidates can get a German Work Permit immediately after their application is successful.

 

Germany Opportunity Card Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requisites to be eligible:

  • Hold a university degree or a two-year vocational training
  • Have minimum A1 level proficiency in German or B2 level proficiency in English

Germany Opportunity Card Points Calculation

The eligibility points for the Germany Opportunity Card are based on factors such as age, language skills, work experience, and previous stay in Germany. Candidates with at least six points can apply for the Opportunity Card.
