British Columbia invited 75 tech-skilled candidates on April 29 to apply for a provincial nomination for Permanent Residence.
British Columbia (BC) is known for its opportunities in IT and technology job opportunities. On April 29, 2020, BC conducted a Tech Pilot draw, aiming at candidates skilled in technology. 75 candidates in the Express Entry and Skills Immigration streams were invited. They can apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
For Canada immigration, Tech Pilot draws has great significance. It fetches skilled foreign workers with a valid job offer in any of the technology occupations that are in demand in the province. These occupations are:

The Express Entry BC (EEBC) candidates must register themselves both under the BC’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and federal Express Entry system. Skills Immigration candidates have to register only with SIRS.
Express Entry candidates will get an additional 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
