There are 3 three factors of selection prioritized by Saskatchewan to separate candidates possessing the same score on the Entrepreneur stream points grid.
In the order of priority, the following are the 3 factors:
Ability in the official language
Business owners who have planned for a key economic sector
Completion of an exploratory visit.
The Saskatchewan immigration Entrepreneur stream is a process with 3-stages:
EOI (Expression of interest)
Saskatchewan’s invitation to lodge an application for a provincial nomination
Saskatchewan’s provincial nomination
The EOI has to meet at least the following entry requirements:
A net worth of at least CAD500,000 that’s legally acquired
At least 3 years of entrepreneurial or relevant experience in management
A minimum investment of CAD300,000 in Saskatoon or Regina or CAD200,000 in any other area in Saskatchewan
Candidates are admitted into a pool. There, these candidates get a score assigned. Candidates who score the highest will receive an invitation to lodge an application.
The following must be included in the application:
A commitment to be active in the daily business management
A Business Establishment Plan supporting and confirming the figures given in the EOI, and including a minimum of 1/3rd ownership of a company in Saskatchewan, unless the amount invested is CAD1 million or more
Creation of at least 2 jobs for permanent residents/citizens of Canada in case the business is located in Saskatoon or Regina
