10 colleges in Quebec get suspended from accepting foreign students

Quebec has suspended 10 specific learning institutions, barring them from receiving and processing applications for study permits via the Foreign Student Program. So, new applications will be suspended and the processing of the ones already made will be stopped.

The decision made on December 30, 2020, was applied to 10 colleges that are still under audit/investigation done by MES. A statement in this regard was posted on the website of MIFI.

The 10 institutions talked about are:

  • Universel College – Gatineau Campus
  • Matrix College of Management, Technology & Healthcare
  • CDE College
  • Herzing College (Institute)
  • M College of Canada
  • Canada College inc.
  • Montréal Campus of Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles
  • Montréal College of Information Technology
  • Collège CDI
  • Institutsupérieurd’informatique (ISI)

The suspensions are going to be in effect until March 31, 2021. Students holding a valid Canada study visa and Quebec Acceptance Certificate, studying in these institutions will have to face no repercussions of this decision.
