Express Entry all-program draws are set to resume on July 6, 2022.
Canada Express Entry is the most popular and fastest way to access immigration opportunities.
Entering into the Express Entry pool requires you to have credentials that score enough for eligibility.

The fastest and the most popular Canada immigration pathway, the Canada Express Entry is going to bring back all-program draws on July 6, 2022. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IRCC had suspended this type of federal immigration draw. It was stopped for some time to deal with the huge backlogs of immigration applications IRCC had to resolve.
What’s an all-program Canada Express Entry draw?
Canada Express Entry system features 3 types of economy immigration pathways: FSTP, FSWP, and CEC. While the first two looks for foreign immigration candidates, CEC is used to find and convert those eligible temporary visa holders already studying or at work in Canada, to permanent residents.
During COVID-19, IRCC focused on conducting CEC and Canada PNP draws that were applicable for those Canada immigration aspirants who were available in Canada. This helped IRCC to overcome the issue with applicants overseas whose Canada PR applications were approved that they couldn’t arrive in Canada owing to travel restrictions.
With all-program Canada Express Entry draws, IRCC will resume inviting immigration candidates in all 3 categories of economy immigration. This will normalize the Canada immigration process to how it was before the COVID-19 pandemic.
What’s the Canada Express Entry pool?
The Express Entry pool is a big repository of profiles of Canada PR aspirants. If you are one, you will have to apply to IRCC online to create a profile. You will provide all the important information IRCC requires from you by answering the questions in the online form.
Once your scores for each factor of your profile add up to at least 67 points (your CRS score), you will be added to the pool. For this, you will also comply with any other necessary criteria.
How do you get into a Canada Express Entry pool?
Before you apply to enter the Express Entry pool, you must check your eligibility to make a profile.
Once your application is accepted, a personal reference code will be provided by IRCC. This code is what you can use in the future to apply for a Canada PR visa after being invited to do so.
The Canadian government uses an electronic key (GCKey) to protect the information you submit online to build a profile. This key ensures that your information stays confidential.
There are 2 ways to sign in to your IRCC secure account.
You can use your GCKey (username and password) to sign in to your Canada Express Entry account with the IRCC.
You can sign in with your online Canadian banking information. This is possible if you already have a currently active account with an IRCC partner.

The DHS has announced the US plan to help the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program with grants of $20 million given to organizations.
The aim is to help provide integration services to non-citizens to become US citizens and integrate with US communities.
The program will provide non-citizens access to the tools and resources required for citizenship education.
Immigrants in the US can take advantage of this program by getting better integration training via more organizations.
The DHS has announced that its Citizenship and Integration Grant Program will grant $20 million to help organizations that provide immigrants integration services to prepare them for citizenship. The grant provided in 2021 was $10 million.
The increased amount of grants under this program will help the organizations involved reach more communities in the USA. There, they can find immigrants and give them access to tools and resources that will help them become US citizens.
The Director of the USCIS, Mr. Ur M. Jaddou, has made a statement that in 2022, the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program will be made more robust. The Program will lend support to initiatives for innovation and bring about a deeper local and regional collaboration to reach more geographic areas around the US.
The aim of the program is to prepare immigrants to naturalize and promote civic integration. The whole exercise will include delivering increased knowledge of US history, the English language, and civics. The grant will also fund English acquisition and US citizenship classes.
The expansion of the grants provided in 2022 includes opportunities for innovatively and creatively preparing immigrants to undergo naturalization.
Here are some of the services that the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program has in its scope of activities:
Citizenship Instruction and Naturalization Application Services
Funding will be made to public/nonprofit organizations that offer both naturalization application and citizenship instruction services to immigrants. USCIS could award up to $300,000 each for 2 years to 42 organizations via this Program. Applications are due by August 5, 2022.
Community and Regional Integration Network Grant
Extended integration services are among the activities under the program. The focus will be on individualized programming for some of the immigrants. They will include one of the following:
Those who came to the USA under the US Refugee Admissions Program
Those who were granted asylum
Those who were admitted or have entered the USA as a Cuban/Haitian entrant
They will gain the skills as well as the knowledge needed for successful US citizenship.
This program was earlier called the Refugee and Asylee Integration Services Grant. It has expanded eligibility to rope in organizations that provide services to the following:
Individuals admitted on a Special Immigrant Visa
Individuals who were admitted or have entered the USA as Cuban/Haitian entrants
Abused spouses, children, and parents under the VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)
Victims of human trafficking and criminal activity
USCIS expects to award up to $300,000 each to 3 to 6 public/nonprofit organizations that have experience in serving vulnerable populations. This will be done for a period of 2 years via this opportunity. Applications are due by August 5, 2022.
Regional Hub Program
This program is designed to fund regional/statewide support networks for citizenship that build capacity among their members/affiliates to give direct services for US citizenship preparation to immigrants.
It’s expected of applicants to serve as a hub for communication and information sharing on preparation for citizenship among their members/affiliates as well as within the broader community. USCIS could award approximately 5 to 10 grants of not more than $1,000,000 each. This will be for a period of 2 years via this program opportunity. Applications are due by Aug. 5, 2022.
Innovations in Citizenship Education Program
Here, the grant is aimed at amplifying innovation. USCIS will award grants for innovation to organizations working to prepare immigrants for naturalization using creative approaches. It will also encourage the linguistic, cultural, and civic integration of immigrants into the US communities. USCIS could award up to $250,000 each to approximately 25 organizations. This will be for a period of 2 years via this program opportunity. Applications are due by August 5, 2022.
The bottom line…
The USA is not only welcoming more immigrants to the country to fulfill the needs of skilled educated professionals but also ensuring that they get expert and quality services to transform themselves into US citizens. It’s a point of credible recognition of US immigration that will play a significant role in attracting more immigrants to the USA.

The candidates were selected by OINP under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. This immigration stream permits immigration authorities of Ontario to grant nominations to candidates in the Canada Express Entry pool possessing French and English abilities for Ontario immigration.
OINP’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream is another immigration stream that helps Canadian employers hire foreign workers who are French-speaking/bilingual outside Quebec. Quebec is a francophone province in Canada that prioritizes French-speaking immigrants and has put in place a policy to increase francophone population.
The advantages of hiring French-speaking or bilingual immigrants are many. These include:
tap into new markets or new international networks
serve clients in French and English
get the benefit of support from the Francophone community like
Francophone Immigration Networks
The RDÉE (Réseau de développement économique et employabilité)
get the benefit of updated information on Canada Express Entry given by outreach officers situated across Canada
The French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream gives French-speaking skilled workers having strong abilities in the English language the chance to apply for permanent residence to live and work in Ontario.
Canadian PM, Justin Trudeau, has made an announcement to ease wait times for accessing government services.
A new task force will be created to improve the quality of government services in Canada.
The focus on quicker dissemination of services from the government comes as a great way to stabilize and streamline Canada immigration
The fact that the Canadian government cares to keep immigration and Canada PR and Canadian citizens top quality and hassle-free makes Canada immigration the first choice of millions all over the world. This could be true for you too.
Canada has always cared about delivering the best services to its immigrants as well as citizens. This has been proven from time to time with policies of the Canadian government led by Justin Trudeau.
It’s the conviction of the Canadian government that immigrants and citizens in Canada deserve to access government services that are efficient and of high quality. They have to be timely, accessible, and make their lives easier.
The Government of Canada recognizes that the delays in the processing of applications for Canada immigration and passports are unacceptable. Hence, to ensure the efficiency of operations, the Canadian government is taking an urgent step to work on resolving such issues at the earliest.
The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, made an important announcement declaring that his government will create a new task force for improving government services. The focus of the whole exercise will be on reducing wait times for Canadians.
The task force will be constituted by a committee of cabinet ministers. They will be tasked with the review of service delivery, identification of gaps and areas for improvement, and making necessary recommendations. All of these will ensure that Canadians across the length and breadth of the country will receive the government services of the highest quality.
Post the COVID-19 pandemic, Canada is aiming at a fast recovery which includes the need to increasingly adjust to a fast-paced world. In such a world, Canadians have resumed depending on government services.
In such a scenario, any delay they experience in the delivery of such services is unacceptable. This feeling is what led to and drives the task force to action. It will improve the processing of immigration applications and passports by identifying actionable areas of priority and outlining short-term as well as long-term solutions.
The task force will focus on reducing wait times. It will put in the right efforts to clear out backlogs. Also, the overall quality of services provided to Canadians will be improved.
It’s a fact that labor shortage is still a major cause of concern as it leads to delays in air travel around the world. This is especially true as the summer season has now started and the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions has led to greatly increased air traffic.
In this scenario, the task force will also manage the monitoring of the hard situation at airports in Canada. This new announcement is part of the Canadian government’s concerted efforts to improve the delivery of government services that Canadians depend on every day.

The dire need for foreign workers in Germany has led to a new campaign for temporary workers to migrate to Germany.
German ministers have announced a joint campaign for foreign temporary workers to work in German airports.
The new plan is aimed at filling the shortage of 2,000 to 3,000 employees at German airports.
The temporary foreign workers are proposed to work in Germany for a period of 6 months to 1 year.
The problem of shortage of workers is highly affecting Germany. The country is trying to address and resolve it with new plans and programs.
Recently, a new joint campaign was announced by German ministers of interior, transport, and labor departments. This campaign aims at bringing in a large number of foreign workers to fill vacant job positions vacant in the country’s airports.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, a shortage of skilled workers, in airports too, has been an issue in Germany as well as other European countries. In fact, every European country has been facing a shortage of labor in various industrial and service sectors. This situation was also reflected in airports.
The summer season is on and the number of travelers has increased exponentially. This increased demand for travel and the shortage of airport staff at airports is becoming a big issue for airport operators too. This issue is causing chaos in German airports where long queues and a shortage of staff have created the need for 2,000 to 3,000 employees. The new campaign is aimed at bringing that many foreign workers to Germany to work in its airports temporarily.
The Labour Minister of Germany, Hubertus Heil, has insisted that employers hiring foreign workers have to pay them collective wages as well as provide them decent accommodation for a limited time period.
In Q1 of 2022, Germany’s skilled worker shortage touched record levels. In March 2022, the number of job vacancies in the country increased to 558,000. In a period of just 3 months, the difference in job vacancies widened by 88,000.
The major industry areas that are facing skilled worker shortages include:
Health
Education
Social services
Architecture
Construction
Engineering
In recent times, the number of vacancies for qualified workers in aviation and energy technology jobs has also risen sharply.
