How to Immigrate to Canadian Province of New Brunswick

New Brunswick’s labor market is reflecting the national trend seen in Canada that’s on course to economic recovery post the COVID-19 pandemic. The unemployment rate is decreasing and the number of full-time jobs is increasing. This is the right time to learn how to migrate to Canada and settle in New Brunswick.

These days, job opportunities for skilled foreigners are on a rise in the province. Hence, the number of Canada PR visa holders in New Brunswick is increasing too.

The economic migration programs of Canada are contributing largely to the steadily improving population of new immigrants in the province. The province has been consistently adding jobs too.

In November 2021 itself, when 32,000 jobs were created by Canada, New Brunswick created 1,300 of them. This was revealed by the report of Statistics Canada. The unemployment rate came down to 8.5% from 9.1%.

A GDP growth of 3.6% by the end of 2021 is predicted by eminent economists. In 2022 the same is expected to be 2.6%.

New Brunswick has taken measures to improve its hiring status. One such move is joining other provinces in announcing a system of vaccine passports for non-essential services. The revival in hiring in New Brunswick is expected to work out well when such measures are combined with an increased vaccination rate.

Also, in September 2020, Arlene Dunn was appointed as the provincial minister for immigration in the province. This was to improve immigration to New Brunswick.

Keeping in view the need for more foreign workers to fill job vacancies in the province, it will be urging the federal government to increase the annual allowable limit of immigrants of the province to at least 10,000.

Job outlook in Germany for 2022

Germany job outlook

Germany job outlook

Germany is Europe’s largest economy, making it an obvious choice for those seeking overseas jobs. Germany, according to recent studies, has a large number of job openings as well as a skills shortage. By 2030, Germany is expected to have a skills shortage of at least 3 million workers. An older population and a reduced birth rate are the main reasons for skill shortage.

According to a study by the Prognos Research Institute, Germany could face a shortage of medical professionals, technicians, and researchers and medical professionals by 2030. A similar view is echoed by the Federal Ministry of Labour which warns of a shortage of skilled professionals.

Another study conducted states that Germany will be dependent on immigrants from non-EU countries to meet the demands of its skill shortage. The study states that the country will need an annual immigration target of 260,000 people for at least forty years from now.

Job opportunities in STEM and health-related industries will be available. Engineers from the fields of engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology are among them. As the country’s older population grows, the healthcare industry will see greater demand, particularly for nurses and caretakers.

Job outlook for 2022

The following occupations will be in demand in Germany in 2022.

Medical professionals

There will be a demand for healthcare professionals. Individuals having a foreign medical degree can immigrate to the country and apply for a license to practice medicine. A license to practice in Germany can be obtained by applicants from both EU and non-EU countries. Their degree, however, must be equivalent to the German medical certification.

Sector Average annual salary
Information technology 47,000 EUR
Finance and Banking 45,000 EUR
Medical 46,000 EUR
Human resources 32,000 EUR
Engineering 55,000 EUR

IT professionals

Even in non-technical jobs, there is a growing demand for digital capabilities. As a result, businesses are having a tough time filling job openings and many are unsure how to describe the new digital job descriptions for those vacancies.

Many new professions have been generated as a result of the digital transition, which were not available just a few years ago. As a result of the unexpected demand, there are frequently too few qualified professionals who can fill specific tasks and are thus in high demand.

Automation and related technology will also have a significant impact on the engineering industry. Data Science and Machine Learning will be useful skills for engineers who want to work in high-paying industries. Civil engineering, mining engineering, and mechanical engineering are among the other engineering fields that are predicted to be lucrative career options.

Finance and Banking

In 2022, major businesses in Germany’s finance and banking industries are likely to maintain their recruitment efforts. Internationally qualified and experienced finance experts will be in high demand.

In Germany, finance and banking professionals earn an average yearly salary of roughly €40,000.

Human resources

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered job dynamics and organization, HR specialists who can adapt to the new work culture will be in high demand. People management in a remote/hybrid work environment will be a challenge for HR professionals who have not updated their skillset to meet the task’s requirements.

To find a job in Germany, you can either come here through the Job Seeker Visa or apply for a job from your home country and once you land a job apply for an EU Blue Card or a Residency permit before migrating to Germany.

If you are applying under the International Post-Graduate category, you are not required to create a profile in the Canada Express Entry system to obtain eligibility.

If you already have an active Express Entry profile, as well as are meeting the criteria of the International Post Graduate category, you may benefit from priority processing. In case you are nominated, you will get priority while applying for a Canada PR visa.

Why work in Canada? Bloomberg ranked Toronto the best city for career women

Toronto ranked 1 city for career women

Toronto ranked 1 city for career women

The Canadian city of Toronto has been ranked as the leading city in the world for women pursuing a career as was revealed by Bloomberg after its recent survey. Bloomberg analyzed 15 cities across the globe to find out how they fared when it came to the quality of life for women who pursued careers. What was found will inspire the professionally capable women among you to work in Canada.

The analysis

The analysis of 15 cities was done on the basis of 5 factors namely safety, maternity, mobility, wealth, and equality. The cities that were included in the study were chosen on the basis of the part they played in global business as well as how they attracted global talent.

The survey was conducted on 3,000 women aged between 18 and 60 years. They were asked questions that corresponded to the 5 factors aforementioned.

The result

After the survey, Toronto came at the top position, followed by Sydney, Singapore, Paris, and London. Toronto’s ranking was high for maternity, wealth, and equality. However, the city ranked poorly on mobility, thanks to its aging transport system.

What’s in it for newcomers in Canada?

It’s an important status that Toronto has achieved as it will improve the career prospects for women. As immigrants arrive in Canada in their prime years to pursue a career, women in that population with skills to match men will want to build a career in Canada too.

With the equality factor ranked highly, the career ambition of women immigrants will be realized in Canada. Even those women who immigrate to Canada as spouses/partners of men have been found to possess optimal human capital characteristics. These include education, language skills, age, and work experience. It’s only fair for the Canadian government to be given an opportunity to perform in the Canadian labor market.

Economic integration among women is vital for improving social integration and retention. It’s not uncommon that weak labor market integration makes immigrant families relocate so that both partners will be able to pursue a career with better prospects elsewhere.

Also, with about 1 million jobs vacant in the country, the need to plug the gaps sooner is weighing down on Canada. This means the county will have to find the under-represented immigrant groups and give them the opportunity to work in Canada. This group includes women, indigenous people, disabled people, and disenfranchised youth.

Among determined steps taken by IRCC to support women among newcomers in Canada to integrate into the labor market is providing financial support for various pilot programs. These programs are aimed at giving support to newcomer women, especially those who have been racialized.
